On January 4, 2025, IQAS conducted a comprehensive training program titled "Uncertainty of Measurement in Mechanical Testing of Metals – Theory and Hands-on Practice Using Excel for Calculation." This session was designed to provide participants with essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills in evaluating uncertainty of measurement in mechanical testing of metals.

Faculty/Expert: Mr. Subhasis Mallik
The program was led by Mr. Subhasis Mallik, a certified Management Expert and Six Sigma Black Belt. He is a Certified Lead Auditor for IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, as well as an assessor for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Laboratory Accreditation) and ISO/IEC 17021 (CB Accreditation).

Dr. Tyagi is a distinguished expert in environmental chemistry and laboratory accreditation.

Orientation Workshop on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 on 4th May 2024

IQAS has conducted "Orientation Workshop on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 " on 04th May 2024.

Speaker of the Workshop  were:

1. Dr.S.K.Breja: He was formerly Joint Director at the National Council for Cement and Building Materials and presently a Distinguished Management Professor at a reputed university.

2. Ms. Mala Ramesh: She was formerly Sr.Engineer, IDEMI, Ministry of MSME, Mumbai and presently an independent consultant ,have expertise in calibration of all Electrical parameters including RF, EMI/EMC and specialized in Power & Energy calibration & Testing of Electrical Instruments.She has been empanelled as NABL Technical Assessor since 2011 and is an expert of Electro Technical, Radiological, Medical devices calibration and testing laboratories.

Accreditation Awareness Workshop on 9th June 2024 on the occasion of World Accreditation Day

In celebration of World Accreditation Day, IQAS organized an impactful "Accreditation Awareness Workshop" on 9th June 2024, centered around the theme "Accreditation: Empowering Tomorrow and Shaping the Future." This significant event brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the pivotal role of accreditation in driving progress and ensuring quality across various sectors.

The workshop featured esteemed guest speakers:

  • Dr. D.K. Aswal, Director of HS & Environment Group, BARC and Former Director, CSIR-NPL

  • Mr. Anil Jauhri, Member of the Accreditation Expert Panel, UNFCCC

  • Prof. S.K. Breja, Distinguished Management Professor

The "Accreditation Awareness Workshop" underscored the vital role of accreditation in ensuring quality and excellence. IQAS remains dedicated to promoting accreditation as a cornerstone for sustainable development and a tool for empowering future generations. Dr. Battal Singh Chauhan: Formerly Joint Director NABL. More than 28 years experience in the field of calibration, testing and accreditation. Consultant, Advisor and Trainer in the field of Accreditation, Calibration and Testing Laboratories.

Uncertainty of Measurement in Mechanical Testing of Metals – Theory and Hands-on Practice. (January 4, 2025)

On January 4, 2025, IQAS conducted a comprehensive training program titled "Uncertainty of Measurement in Mechanical Testing of Metals – Theory and Hands-on Practice Using Excel for Calculation." This session was designed to provide participants with essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills in evaluating uncertainty of measurement in mechanical testing of metals.

Faculty/Expert: Mr. Subhasis Mallik

The program was led by Mr. Subhasis Mallik, a certified Management Expert and Six Sigma Black Belt. He is a Certified Lead Auditor for IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, as well as an assessor for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Laboratory Accreditation) and ISO/IEC 17021 (CB Accreditation).

Program Highlights: The training focused on both theoretical and practical aspects of uncertainty measurement. Participants were guided in identifying key uncertainty components and calculating combined uncertainties using Excel. Hands-on exercises ensured that attendees could confidently apply the concepts to real-world scenarios, enabling precise and reliable mechanical testing results.

Uncertainty of Measurement in Microbiology Testing – Theory and Hands-on Practice Using Excel. ( 28th December 2024)

IQAS successfully conducted a comprehensive training program titled "Uncertainty of Measurement in Microbiology Testing – Theory and Hands-on Practice Using Excel" on 28th December 2024. The session was designed to equip participants with vital theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to calculate and document uncertainty of measurement in microbiology testing.

Faculty/Expert:

The program was led by Mr. Satish Kumar Gaind, a highly experienced professional with 48 years of expertise across government and private organizations. Mr. Gaind is a qualified Lead Assessor for ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and ISO 17034:2016, as well as a Technical Assessor for IQAS.

Program Highlights:

  • In-depth understanding of the uncertainty of measurement in microbiology testing.
  • Practical training using Excel for precise calculations.

Uncertainty Estimation in Fluid Flow Metrology and Calibration on 21st December 2024

On 21st December 2024, IQAS successfully conducted a specialized training program on “Uncertainty Estimation in Fluid Flow Metrology and Calibration – Theory and Hands-On Practice Using Excel for Calculations (Water Flow).”This program was meticulously designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of uncertainty estimation in fluid flow metrology, combined with practical skills to perform precise calculations using Excel.

Faculty Expert: Dr. Shiv Kumar Jaiswal

Chief Scientist and Head of the Fluid Flow Metrology Section at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory. With extensive expertise, Dr. Jaiswal has contributed significantly to the development and enhancement of standards for gas flow, water flow, low liquid flow, and water meter calibration and testing.

Program Highlights:

  • In-depth exploration of uncertainty estimation in water flow metrology and calibration.
  • Hands-on training in applying statistical methods for uncertainty calculations using Excel.

Uncertainty Quality Assurance and Measurement Traceability on 14th December 2024

On 14th December 2024, IQAS conducted a specialized training program titled “Uncertainty Quality Assurance and Measurement Traceability: Theory and Hands-On Practice.” The program was designed to provide participants with critical insights and practical expertise in quality assurance and measurement traceability, aligning with ISO 15189 standards.

Faculty Expert: Dr. Thuppil Venkatesh

CEO and Director of the Foundation for Quality India (FQI). A recipient of the Qimpro National Platinum Award 2024 under Health Care Quality, Dr. Venkatesh is renowned for his impactful contributions to public health. Known as the “Lead Man of India,” he played a pivotal role in introducing unleaded petrol to India in March 2000 as part of The George Foundation's Project Lead-Free. He also spearheaded efforts to define lead content limits in paints through a national Gazette notification.

Ph.D. (Physics), Managing Director of NIIRT Calibration & Testing Private Ltd., Director of NIITECH Instruments, and former Scientist-in-Charge at NRTC, Parwanoo (H.P.). Dr. Sinha is an accomplished physicist and calibration expert.
