The infrastructure platform is National Metrological Institute (NMI), which maintains national standards traceable to SI units. There are thousands of laboratories in the country in the field of testing, calibration and medical testing that play a vital role in providing and ensuring quality and accurate outcomes for products and services. Without testing and calibration,correct product and services complying to specification cannot be delivered. Repeated accurate results of testing and calibration laboratories can only be assured through an accreditation process.

The results of medical testing are extremely crucial from the disease diagnosis and treatment perspective. It also has legal implications. Here again accreditation driven by a process plays an important role in the ensuring accurate and correct testing results.
